Even though the colder months are still far off, bookings for popular warm weather destinations are already heating up. What does that mean for you? Well, if you have a warm retreat in mind this is a great time to start working with Take Time To Travel and Tour on your vacation. Of course, we can help you quickly narrow down the many vacation options, and also give you a headstart on some destinations to contemplate.
MAZATLAN, MEXICO
Mazatlan was Mexico’s first resort area, but was eventually surpassed by the likes of Cancun and Ixtapa in tourism popularity. Despite being eclipsed, Mazatlan has never wavered and continues to stick with a more simplistic approach to invite guests; fantastic beaches, inviting people and natural beauty. A more relaxed destination, you’ll find the same activities and scenery that more tourism-heavy destinations offer, but usually at a more fiscally friendly price tag.
On shore, the 10 mile promenade invites a leisurely stroll, within the city the Golden Zone is a shoppers’ delight and the historic section stays true to its old Mexican roots. Off shore, scuba diving, sailing and world-class sport fishing are a major draw. And after a day of enjoying Mazatlan, relax and listen to the beat of a Mariachi band while sipping Tequila, and apropos combination since both originated in this area.
PUERTO VALLARTA, MEXICO
Heading further south on the Mexican Riviera is the second largest bay in the western hemisphere, Banderas Bay, which attracts the throngs of Puerto Vallarta tourists to its waters. The bay itself offers miles of gorgeous beaches and is a perfect setting for any activities you can imagine, but head into the city of Puerto Vallarta and you’ll find a captivating mix of cultural adherence with a progressive attitude. Walk through the old winding cobblestone streets of the historic area, step inside beautiful cathedrals, shop eclectic boutiques and art galleries, and dine at one of the more than 250 restaurants. Its lush tropical eco-tourism is a popular option for those wanting to take-in another aspect of Puerto Vallarta’s splendor. And if you’re looking to get just one more step away from the tourist ebb and flow, consider Vallarta Nayarit which is just north of Puerto Vallarta.
